Our Mission as Catholic Men is to fulfill what God is calling all Catholic Men to do: to take responsibility for their families , to help their neighbors in need, to provide for defense and support of their church, to love their country and to defend it, to work and manage their businesses with integrity. We are called to make sure that every Catholic Man understands that the Knights of Columbus is where he can become a better husband, a better father, a better parishioner and a better citizen. That is our Mission.
These past couple of years, the Knight of Columbus’s major parish project has been the design, landscaping and building of our blessed “Rosary Garden”. We’ve added a life-size Crucifix, built a Grotto for our Blessed Mother Mary and provide benches at the memorial Pillars, the Grotto and at every decade of the rosary for visitors to sit, pray and enjoy this beautiful garden. Recently we have also undertaken the task of funding several 2-week sessions for our young parishioners to attend either Camp Fatima or Camp Bernadette. These “camperships” help the children benefit with a wholesome outdoor summer camp experience, where campers can grow in faith, confidence and friendship.
As ongoing programs, our parish Knights continue to sponsor and help several yearly Red Cross Blood Drives. We also support our Diocesan Seminarians and Novice Nun thru our Vocational Fund. Yearly, we raise monies for Haven Pregnancy Services in Plymouth and Aspire Women’s Center in Laconia and have donated generously to both for years. Our Knights are visible as Eucharistic Ministers both during Mass and at local Nursing Homes, lectors, alter servers when needed, and provide help to our Parish Funeral Ministry in setting up and cleaning up after luncheons.
If interested in becoming an active Knight, contact our membeship chair, Chris Kelly at 603-677-2187, our Grand Knight, Paul Punturieri at 603-279-4403 or seek out any one of the Knights after weekend Masses.
